Nourish is a proudly Sri Lankan, purpose-driven yogurt brand created with one simple belief — real food should nourish both people and the planet.
We produce small-batch, clean-label yogurt using carefully selected, ISO-certified fresh milk sourced from trusted Sri Lankan dairy suppliers. Our products are crafted using locally developed food processing technology in collaboration with the Industrial Technology Institute (ITI), Sri Lanka, ensuring safety, consistency, and nutritional integrity while supporting home-grown innovation.
At Nourish, we do not believe in mass production or shortcuts. Instead, we focus on quality over quantity, gentle processing methods, and minimal ingredient intervention. Our yogurt is made without added sugar, salt, preservatives, or gelatin, allowing the natural goodness of milk and live cultures to shine through.
Sustainability is embedded in everything we do. From our glass jar return and reuse program to responsible sourcing and waste reduction practices, Nourish follows a cradle-to-cradle mindset that supports circular economy principles. Our journey started in a home kitchen, where our yogurt was initially crafted for a 6-month-old baby. The positive response to this wholesome product inspired us to share “Nourish” with a wider audience. Our unique selling point? Nourish is the only yogurt brand in the country made without added sugar, salt, preservatives, or gelatin. Our management team is particularly discerning about the ingredients we use, ensuring that our products remain free from artificial additives.
As a mother-led business, we understand that mothers know best when it comes to nourishing their families. Our management’s passion for creating healthy, delicious yogurt propelled us on a challenging journey to bring our products to market. After nearly a year of extensive travel, coordination, and logistics, we proudly launched Nourish, offering a variety of yogurt recipes made from local ingredients through a handcrafted process.
Nourish opened during a peak economic crisis in Colombo, Sri Lanka, proving that even in tough times, people value high-quality, nutritious food options.

How a Mother Became an Entrepreneur
Nourish began with a personal responsibility not a business plan.
As a mother of a six-month-old baby, I was searching for a yogurt product I could truly trust: one that was safe, carefully made, and suitable for early childhood. Like any parent, I read labels closely, asked questions, and looked beyond claims. I wasn’t searching for variety or trends. I was searching for reassurance.
When the product I relied on was no longer available in the market, the gap became clear. The need had not disappeared especially for babies and young children who depend entirely on adults to make the right choices for them.
When the original founders stepped away from the product, I made the decision to step in.
What followed was not an immediate entrepreneurial journey, but a deliberate and responsible one. I immersed myself in understanding the process, learning quality standards, working closely with food-technology expertise, and ensuring that the product could be maintained and protected at the level I would expect for my own child.
Nourish was not born as a business idea first.
It was born as a promise.
A promise to preserve quality.
A promise to protect consumers.
A promise to keep a responsibly made product accessible in the market.
As the brand grew, so did my understanding of responsibility. Nourish was never meant to exist in isolation. Food is deeply connected to families, communities, animals, and the environment and a brand built on care must give back to the system it depends on.
This belief led to the creation of the Nourish Foundation.
The Foundation extends the same values that guide our products care, responsibility, and long-term thinking into social and environmental action. Through initiatives supporting children, families, animal welfare, and sustainable practices, the Nourish Foundation ensures that growth is not measured only in scale, but in positive impact.
Today, as Directress, I remain closely involved in every stage from sourcing and production to quality assurance, consumer communication, and community initiatives. The principle that guided the beginning continues to guide everything we do: when food is made for the most vulnerable, there is no room for compromise and when a brand grows, it must grow with purpose.
This is how I became an entrepreneur not by chasing opportunity, but by accepting responsibility and safeguarding what mattered most.
